Deck – bearers and joists

Last week was quiet week but the main structure for the deck is now in place.

Truckload of timber came on Wednesday afternoon and on Friday the bearers and joists for the deck were done. Still waiting for the decking boards so Al has lent us a bit of plywood to place outside the doors so we can walk across and sit on (a bit) of the deck.

We also had to remove a wattle that was getting past it’s prime and would have been very difficult to get rid of once it got bigger and had a building place right next to it.
