What this is all about

This is an attempt to record the experiences of myself and my family as we undertake an owner-builder renovation project on our 1950s fibro house in Bellingen on the mid-north coast of NSW. I’m not sure how often I’ll be able to update this but I hope to manage it reasonably regularly.

I want to keep a record of both the physical (hammers, nails, bits of wood etc) and paperwork (permits, insurance) parts of the job. Hopefully this can become a helpful resource for other owner builders (particularly those in NSW who have to jump through the same bureacratic hoops we do).

The family, pre-building
